Contest rules

1. Organizers

The contest is co-organized by Studio Jadu and OTTplay.

2. What the Contest Is

Submit a 100-word story pitch for a chance to have your story developed into a 3-episode animated series with a national premiere on OTTplay, plus industry mentorship/professional consultation.

3. Eligibility

You are eligible if you:

  • Are 18 years or older
  • Are a resident of India
  • Have an active OTTplay subscription

4. How to Participate (Round 1)

All you need is a short pitch (100-500 words). Use the following form (also available on the OTTplay app), and submit:

  • Full name
  • Mobile number
  • Email
  • 100-word pitch

You must also:

  • Opt-in to receive results for next rounds access links via email
  • Ensure that your pitch and story are written in English.
  • Accept the Terms & Conditions (including sharing contact info with Studio Jadu and OTTplay).

5. Prize

Grand Prize: Winner's story will be developed into 3 produced animated episodes, with a national premiere on OTTplay, plus mentorship/pro consultation.

6. Rights You Grant (IP / Production Rights)

By submitting an entry, you grant Studio Jadu and OTTplay (and their affiliates, licensees, and successors) the right to produce, adapt, create audiovisual works based on, edit, dub, subtitle, distribute, syndicate, publicly perform/communicate to the public, promote, and otherwise exploit the winning pitch and resulting production(s), in all media, worldwide, for the full term of rights, with the right to sublicense.

  • You confirm you have the right to submit the pitch and that it does not knowingly infringe others' rights.
  • Non-winning submissions: organizers may retain entries for judging/admin; no obligation to produce.

7. Data Use & Communications

  • OTTplay will share contest submissions with Studio Jadu for contest operations (including daily sync / shortlisting and access provisioning).
  • The mobile number is used as the SSO key for later-round access.
  • You may receive contest communications via WhatsApp (and email if provided).

Organizers may disqualify entries that violate these rules or applicable law, and may modify, suspend, or cancel the contest, if necessary.
